A Plumbing Disaster in Neutral Bay
Denise sat down with a bowl of cereal and spooned a bit into her mouth. She didn’t really have much of an appetite because she was too nervous. Denise and her husband were selling their house and today their, Neutral Bay, home was open for inspection. There were still another few hours to go before the scheduled inspection time.
Denise looked around the house to check that everything was in order and decided that she would have enough time for a shower. She grabbed a towel from the linen cupboard and ran the hot and cold taps. She quickly washed her hair and turned the hot water faucet off. However, when she turned the cold water, she noticed that it was slightly stiff to turn. She turned it with more force than usual, when the tap came off into her hands. “Oh no!” she yelled as she stared at the tap in her palm. The water continued to steadily fall from the shower head onto the floow. “How am I supposed to turn this thing off now?” she said with panic. She spent the next few minutes attempting to turn the water off with various tools she had lying around the house. Her efforts were in vain, as the water stubbornly failed to cease. “That’s it, I’m calling an emergency plumber,” she finally said.
Firstly she turned off the main water supply, then sat down at her computer desk. She logged onto the internet and started to search for emergency plumbing assistance in Neutral Bay. She viewed the companies listed and chose one that suited her needs. She saw that they provided immediate plumbing relief to the residents in Neutral Bay, as well as those in Cremorne, Cammeray, Crows nest, North Syndey, Milsons Point, Kirribilli, Mosman and Cremorne Point. She next located her house phone and called the number that was displayed.
Someone answered promptly and helped to ease Denise’s concerns. They informed her that someone would be right over to check out and repair her emergency plumbing woes. Denise breathed a sigh of relief and looked at her watch again. She crossed her fingers that everything would be back to normal, before the inspection.
To her surprise, the emergency plumber arrived ten minutes later. She never imagined he would arrive so quickly and was slightly bewildered when she met him at the door. He introduced himself and asked to be shown to the faulty shower tap. Denise observed that he was highly professional, yet friendly at the same time. He was also prepared with an assortment of equipment, which enabled him to begin working on it straight away.
The plumber worked non-stop until the shower faucet was returned to its functioning state. Denise was pleased with how rapid his response was and how little the bill came to. Thanks to the plumber’s efficiency, the shower problem was rectified well before the open home inspection.
