Hot Water Problems in Neutral Bay
Derek put his feet up on the coffee table and sunk back into the lounge chair. He looked over at his wife next to him and saw that she was as pleased as he was. They had just purchased themselves a new flat screen television and were enjoying it for the first time in their Neutral Bay home.
The huge screen made Derek feel as though he was in a cinema. Before he got himself too comfortable he thought he’d better get himself some snacks for the movie, they were about to watch. He asked Carla if she would like anything and she suggested an apple. Derek suddenly felt guilt for opting for an unhealthy packet of chips but didn’t dwell on the thought for long. Derek held Carla’s apple under the tap, to wash it and nearly jumped when the tap made a loud groan. “What was that?” Carla yelled from the lounge room. “I have no idea,” he replied. Derek fiddled around with the faucets and discovered that the noise only occurred when the hot water was being used.
Derek and Carla both decided that something was definitely wrong with their hot water system and that it would be a good idea to get somebody to look at it. “Do you know any hot water plumber’s in Neutral Bay?” Carla inquired. Derek thought to himself about it and suddenly recalled hearing about one, from his sister. His older sister, Marcia, lived in the next suburb and had a plumber to deal with some plumbing problems of theirs. She spoke about how fantastic they were and also the good deal she got. He remembered her mentioning that the plumbing group operated in Neutral Bay and also the nearby suburbs of Cremorne, Cammeray, Crows nest, North Syndey, Milsons Point, Kirribilli, Mosman and Cremorne Point. Derek decided to call his sister, then and there, and wrote down the plumbing company’s number.
It was after normal business hours but Derek thought he would attempt to call, just in case. He dialled the number and was slightly startled when a person answered after the first ring. He had to quickly gather his thoughts and explained his hot water heater problem to the customer service assistant. Derek asked if someone would be available to inspect his hot water system the next day and was thrilled to hear that a plumber would be free first thing in the morning.
After the call Derek passed on the information to his wife. She was most pleased with the good news. Thanks to plumbing company, they were able to appreciate their movie in peace, knowing that their hot water problem would soon be dealt with.
The next morning, Derek awoke to the sound of knocking at his front door. He met the plumber and thanked him for seeing them so quickly. He pointed the plumber in the direction of their kitchen and demonstrated the awful noise. As soon as he heard the sound he appeared to know what the cause was and proceeded with his analysis. Derek decided to leave the plumber, while he continued with the rest of his morning rituals.
A short time passed, when the plumber announced to the couple that the terrible sound had been eliminated. He had located the source of the problem and described, to them, how he managed to repair it. Derek ran the tap and smiled as he heard the sweet sound of silence. The total bill came well under, what they were expecting, which only made things better. Derek and Carla happily paid him the quoted amount and knew that he would be the plumber that they would come to rely on.
